Using the Self-propel Drive
To operate the self-propel drive, simply walk with your
hands on the upper handle and your elbows at your
sides, and the mower will automatically keep pace
with you.

Stopping the Engine
1. Release the blade control bar.

2. Remove the ignition key when you leave the
mower.
Using the Traction Assist
Handle
The traction assist handle (A) allows you to use your
hands to control the speed of the mower instead of
your walking speed. This is helpful in some situations,
such as turning tight corners, where you want the
mower to move but cannot move yourself. It is also
helpful for keeping the mower at maximum speed.

1. Reach forward with your fingertips and grasp the
corners of the traction assist handle.
2. Squeeze the 2 handles together until the mower
reaches your desired ground speed.

3. When you no longer need to maintain a set
speed, release the traction assist handle.
Important: The mower will continue to self-propel
until you release the traction assist handle and stop
walking.
