•Donotaerateifthegroundistoohardordry.Best
resultsareobtainedafterarainorwhentheturf
hasbeenwateredthepreviousday.
Note:Iftherollerridesupoffthegroundwhile
aerating,thegroundistoohardtoachievethe
desireddepth;reducetheaerationdepthuntilthe
rollercontactsthegroundduringoperation.
•Raisetheaeratorpenetrationifthegroundishard
packed.Cleanupthecoresandaerateagainata
deeperpenetration,preferablyafterwatering.
CAUTION
Improperlyusingormaintainingthis
machinecanresultininjury.
Toavoidpersonalinjury,neverleavethe
tractorseatwithoutrstdisengagingthe
PTOdrive,engagingtheparkingbrake,and
shuttingofftheengine.Donotperform
aeratoradjustmentsorrepairswithoutrst
loweringtheaeratorontothesafetystand.
Ensurethatallsafetydevicesaresecured
intheirproperplacebeforeresuming
operation.
•Lookbehindfrequentlytoensurethemachineis
operatingproperlyandalignmentismaintained
withpreviouspasses.Alossofonelineofholes
indicatesabentorlosttine.Inspectaftereach
pass.
•Alwayscleartheareaofalldamagedmachine
parts,suchasbrokentines,etc.,topreventthem
frombeingpickedupandthrownbymowersor
otherturfmaintenanceequipment.
•Replacebrokentines,inspectandcorrectdamage
tothosestillusable.Repairanyothermachine
damagebeforeresumingoperation.
