1.Mountthespring-loadedtoplinktotheaerator
bracketwith2linkpinsandlynchpins(Figure9)
2.Loosenthelocknutonthetractorupperlink.
Adjusttheupperlinklengthuntilitalignswith
theclevisonthespring-loadedtoplinkofthe
aerator(Figure9).

Extendingthehydrauliccylinderincreasesthetine
depth.
Fullyextendthehydrauliccylindertodetermine
thelocationofthetineheadsandtoverifyifthey
contacttheground.
Note:Onundulatingturf,theoperatorcanadjust
thecylindertomaintaintinedepth(crestingahill)
butitwillbenecessarytohavethetineheadsset
about5cm(2inches)belowground.
Ifthetineheadscontacttheground,turfdamage
mayoccur.
Ifthetineheadscontacttheground,adjustthe
locationofthecylinderendstomovethetopofthe
aeratorclosertothetractor.
Ifthetineheadsdonotcontacttheground,
extensionbrackets(includedwithaerator)canbe
installedtothetoplinktomovethetineheads
closertotheground.
Important:WhenconnectingthePTO,besure
thattheaeratorisnotbeingliftedhigherthan
isnecessary.Liftingthemachinetoohighwill
causethePTOshaftknucklestobreak(Figure10).
DonotleavethePTOturningwhentheaerator
israised.YoucanoperatethePTOuptoan
angleof25°,butdonotexceeda35°anglewhen
theaeratorisatitshighestposition;otherwise,
severeshaftdamagemayoccur.
