Attheendofanaeratingseasonorwhentheaeratorwillnot
beusedforalongperiod,itisgoodpracticetocarryoutthe
followingpreventativemaintenance.
1.Cleanoffanydirtorgreasethatmayhaveaccumulated
ontheaeratororanyofthemovingparts.
2.Removeandcleanouttines.Coattinesandtine
fastenerswithoiltopreventrustingduringstorage.
3.Openthehoodandcleanouttheinsideofthemachine.
4.Lubricateallgreasettingsandtinefastenerscrew
threads.
5.Storethemachineontheprovidedstoragestandson
ahard,drysurface.
6.LoosenthePTOclutchboltstwoturns.
7.ConnectthePTOsafetychaintotheaeratorinstored
positiontopreventdamageorremovethePTOand
storeunderthehoodtominimizecorrosion.
8.Painttherollerandtouch-upanyotherscratcheson
thepaintedsurfaces.
9.Replaceanymissingordamageddecals.
10.Storetheaeratorinsideadrysecurebuilding.Inside
storagewillreducemaintenance,givealongerworking
lifeandincreasetheresidualvalueofthemachine.If
insidestorageisnotavailable,coverwithaheavysheet
ortarpaulinandsecuretightly.
