•Fillthefueltankoutdoors,inanopenarea,
whentheengineiscold.Wipeupanygasoline
thatspills.
•Donotllthefueltankcompletelyfull.Add
gasolinetothefueltankuntilthelevelis1in.
(25mm)belowthebottomofthellerneck.
Thisemptyspaceinthetankallowsgasoline
toexpand.
•Neversmokewhenhandlinggasoline,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwheregasoline
fumesmaybeignitedbyaspark.
•Storegasolineinanapprovedcontainerand
keepitoutofthereachofchildren.Neverbuy
morethana30-daysupplyofgasoline.
•Alwaysplacegasolinecontainersontheground
awayfromyourvehiclebeforelling.
•Donotllgasolinecontainersinsideavehicle
oronatruckortrailerbedbecauseinterior
carpetsorplastictruckbedlinersmayinsulate
thecontainerandslowthelossofanystatic
charge.
•Whenpractical,removegas-powered
equipmentfromthetruckortrailerandrefuel
theequipmentwithitswheelsontheground
•Ifthisisnotpossible,thenrefuelsuch
equipmentonatruckortrailerfromaportable
container,ratherthanfromagasolinedispenser
nozzle.
•Ifagasolinedispensernozzlemustbeused,
keepthenozzleincontactwiththerimofthe
fueltankorcontaineropeningatalltimesuntil
fuelingiscomplete.
1.Removethecapfromthefueltank(Figure9)and
llthe10gallontanktoabout1inch(25mm)from
thetopoftank(thebottomofthellerneck)with
unleadedgasoline.Installthefueltankcaptightly.
