1.Adjustthetransmissionforneutral;refertoAdjusting
theTractionDriveforNeutral(page31).
2.Activatethepumplevertoensurethatallpartsare
operatingfreelyandseatedproperly.
3.Adjustthescrewuntiltheairgapis0.8to2.3mm
(0.030to0.090inch);refertoFigure34.
4.Checkforproperoperation.

ObtainingMaximumTransport
Speed
Thetractionpedalisadjustedformaximumtransportspeed
andreverseatthefactory,butanadjustmentmayberequired
ifthepedalreachesfullstrokebeforethepumpleverreaches
fullstroke,orifadecreaseintransportspeedisdesired.
Toobtainmaximumtransportspeed,pressdownonthe
tractionpedal.Ifthepedalcontactsthestop(Figure35)
beforethepumpleverreachesfullstroke,adjustit:

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shutofftheengine,
engagetheparkingbrake,andremovethekey.
2.Loosenthenutsecuringthepedalstop.
3.Tightenthepedalstopuntilitdoesnotcontactthe
tractionpedal.
4.Continueapplyingalightloadonthetransportpedal
andadjustthepedalstopsothatitjustcontactsor
agapof2.5mm(0.100inch)isattainedbetweenthe
pedalrodandthestop.
