pastthegasketanddripsdownthesideofthe
lter.
Note:Ifthemachineisequippedwitharemote
hydraulicskit,thesuctionhosecanberemoved
fromthepumptodrainthehydraulicuid.
5.Removethelterwhentheuidowslows.
6.Lubricatethesealinggasketonthereplacement
lterwithhydraulicuidandturnitonbyhand
untilthegasketcontactsthelterhead.Then
tightenit3/4turnfurther.
Note:Theltershouldnowbesealed.
7.Fillthehydraulictankwithhydraulicuiduntil
thelevelisuptothenecked-downareaofthe
dipstick.Donotoverllthetank.Referto
CheckingtheLeveloftheHydraulicFluid(page
17).
8.Startandruntheengine.Operatetheliftcylinder
untilitextendsandretractsandforwardand
reversewheelmotionisachieved.
9.Shutofftheengineandchecktheuidlevelin
thereservoir;adduidifnecessary.
10.Checkallconnectionsforleaks.
11.Installthecentershroud.
12.Disposeoftheusedoilproperly.
CheckingtheHydraulic
LinesandHoses
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Checkthehydrauliclinesandhosesdailyfor
leaks,kinkedlines,loosemountingsupports,wear,
loosettings,weatherdeterioration,andchemical
deterioration.Makeallnecessaryrepairsbefore
operating.
ChargingtheHydraulic
System
Wheneverahydrauliccomponentisrepairedor
replaced,changethehydrauliclterandchargethe
hydraulicsystem.
Ensurethatthehydraulicreservoirandthelterare
lledwithuidatalltimeswhenchargingthehydraulic
system.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shutoffthe
engine,engagetheparkingbrake,andremove
thekey.
2.Loosenthe2screwssecuringthecentershroud
tothemachineandremovetheshroud(Figure
43).

Thefrontwheeland1rearwheelmustbe
raisedofftheground,orelsethemachine
willmoveduringtheadjustment.This
couldcausethemachinetofalland
injuresomeoneunderthemachine.
Makesurethatthemachineisadequately
supported,withthefrontwheeland1
rearwheelraisedofftheground.
4.Starttheengineandsetthethrottletoallowthe
enginetorunatapproximately1,800rpm.
5.Actuatethelift-valveleveruntilthelift-cylinder
rodmovesinandoutseveraltimes.Ifthe
