TheECOmodeswitchislocatedonthemaininstrumentpanel.Pushdownon
thetopoftheswitchtoenableECOmode(switchlightilluminated)andpush
downonthebottomoftheswitchtodisableECOmode.
TheT2:TDMmonitorssignalsfromtheECOmodeswitch.TheT2:TDM
communicatestheswitchpositiontotheT1:TECviatheCANnetwork.When
ECOmodeisenabled,themaximumenginespeedisreducedto2300RPMas
longasthePTOorHydraulicAUXfunctionisnotactive.
TestingtheEconomy(ECO)ModeSwitch
TheECOmodeswitchanditscircuitwiringcanbetestedasaT2:TDM
inputusingtheInfoCenterDisplay;refertoUsingtheInfoCenterDisplayfor
Troubleshooting(page3–23).Iftestingdeterminesthattheswitchandcircuit
wiringarenotfunctioningcorrectly,proceedwiththefollowingtestprocedure:
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,loweranyattachmentsandstopthe
engine.
2.Disconnectthebatterynegative(-)cableatthebattery.
3.Removetheinstrumentpanelfromthedash.
4.Disconnectthewireharnessconnectorfromtheswitchandremovethe
switchfromtheinstrumentpanelifnecessary.
5.Useamultimeter(ohmssetting)andtheprecedingtabletodetermine
whethercontinuityexistsbetweenthevariousterminalsforeachswitch
position.
6.Theswitchindicatorlightcanbetestedbyapplying(+)12VDCtoterminal8
anda(-)groundtoterminal7.
7.Replacetheswitchifnecessary.
8.Iftheswitchtestscorrectlyandacircuitproblemstillexists,checkthewire
harnesses;refertoAppendixA(pageA–1).
9.Installtheswitch,connectthewireharnessandinstalltheinstrumentpanel
aftertesting.
10.Connectthebatterynegative(-)cableatthebattery.
