Thepowertakeoff(PTO)enableswitchislocatedontheconsole.Thisswitchis
pulleduptoengagethePTOshaftandpusheddowntodisengagethePTOshaft.
TheT1:TECmonitorsthepositionofthePTOswitch.Usinginformationfrom
thePTOswitchandotherinputs,theT1:TECenergizesthehydraulicsolenoid
valve(EH)toengagethePTOclutch.
TestingthePowerTakeOff(PTO)Switch
ThePTOenableswitchanditscircuitwiringcanbetestedasaT1:TEC
inputusingtheInfoCenterDisplay;refertoUsingtheInfoCenterDisplayfor
Troubleshooting(page3–23).Iftestingdeterminesthattheswitchandcircuit
wiringarenotfunctioningcorrectly,proceedwiththefollowingtestprocedure:
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,loweranyattachmentsandstopthe
engine.
2.Disconnectthebatterynegative(-)cableatthebattery.
3.Removetheinstrumentpanelfromtheconsole.
4.Disconnectthewireharnessconnectorfromtheswitchandremovethe
switchfromtheinstrumentpanelifnecessary.
5.Useamultimeter(ohmssetting)andtheprecedingtabletodetermine
whethercontinuityexistsbetweenthevariousterminalsforeachswitch
position.
6.Replacetheswitchifnecessary.
7.Iftheswitchtestscorrectlyandacircuitproblemstillexists,checkthewire
harnesses;refertoAppendixA(pageA–1).
8.Installtheswitch,connectthewireharnessandinstalltheinstrumentpanel
aftertesting.
9.Connectthebatterynegative(-)cableatthebattery.
