UsingtheInfoCenterDisplayforTroubleshooting
TheServiceInput/OutputscreensoftheInfoCenterdisplaycanbeveryhelpful
whentroubleshootingmachineoperationissues.Electricalcomponentsandtheir
circuitwiringcanbeevaluatedquicklyusingtheInput/Outputscreenspriorto
testingthecomponentindividually.TheInput/Outputscreensshowthecurrent
stateoftheinputsandtheoutputsrequiredtoallowamachineoperationto
proceed.
CAUTION
Itmaybenecessarytostartandruntheengine,raiseandlower
theattachments,orotherwiseoperatethemachineduringthe
troubleshootingprocess.Makesurethemachineisinawell
ventilatedareaandkeepawayfromattachmentsandmovingparts
whiletroubleshootingtopreventpersonalinjury.
Ifamachineoperationismalfunctioning,thefollowingprocedurecanhelp
identifythecomponentorcircuitwiringcausingthemalfunction.
1.Parkmachineonalevelsurface,lowerattachmentsifpossibleandstop
engine.
2.SetthekeyswitchtotheRUNpositionandnavigatetotheInfoCenterService
Input/OutputScreenforthedesiredmachinefunction.Tractionhasbeen
selectedforthefollowingexample.
3.Manuallyoperatetheinputcomponent.Thecomponentstateonthe
InfoCenterdisplayshouldalternateONandOFForthesignalvoltagefrom
thecomponentshouldchangeasthecomponentiscycled.IfONandOFFdo
notalternateorsignalvoltagedoesnotchangeduringcomponentoperation,
thecomponentoritscircuitwiringisfaultyandshouldbetested;referto
ElectricalComponentTesting(page6–14)andAppendixA(pageA–1).
Note:meansnosignalfromtheinputisavailableandtheinputorits
circuitwiringshouldbetested.
Whenthecorrectinputsarereceivedbythecontrollers,theoutputsidentied
ontheOutputscreenshouldshowasON(oracontrolamperageinthecase
ofthetractionpumpcontrolsolenoids).Iftheinputsareproperlypositioned
andtheoutputremainsOFF ,aproblemwithcontrollerpower(circuitwiring
orfuse)mayexist,orthecontrollersoftwaremayrequirereloadingor
replacement.ContactyourAuthorizedT oroDistributorforassistance.
AfaultyoutputcomponentwillnotbeidentiedbytheOutputscreen.The
Outputscreenreectstheactionsofthecontroller,notthecomponent(s)
involvedintheoperation.Ifallinputsandoutputsarecorrectforthemachine
operationselected,yettheoperationdoesnotfunctionasitshould,the
outputcomponentmaybefaulty.Testthespecicoutputcomponentandthe
wiringfromthecontrollertothecomponent;refertoElectricalComponent
Testing(page6–14)andAppendixA(pageA–1).
TRACTION(example):
UsingtheInputsScreen
MovethetransmissionlevertotheFORWARD,NEUTRALandREVERSE
positions.TheTRANSMISSIONFWDandREVinputsshouldalternateON
andOFFbasedontheleverposition.Ifnot,thetransmissionleverswitches
ortheircircuitwiringarefaultyandshouldbetested.
