Affected
Fault Title
P1511 Traction Motor
Controller --
High Temp
Shutdown
SC2 The controller
temperature was
measured to be
greater than the
temperature
shutdown threshold.
The controller
temperature
exceeds 85 ºC
(Sevcon).
NOTE: Coasting
downhill or towing
with batteries at full
charge can cause
this fault to occur.
Traction is disabled.
1) Reduce ground speed
2) Check for mechanical
resistance in the wheels that
would make the motors work
harder than necessary.
P1512 Traction Motor
Controller --
Low Temp
Shutdown
SC2 The controller
temperature was
measured to be less
than the temperature
shutdown threshold.
The controller
temperature is less
than or equal to --20
ºC (Sevcon).
Traction is disabled.
Warm the machine.
P1520 Traction Motor
Speed Sensor
-- O u t o f
Range
SC2 Speed sensor
reading is outside
normal operating
range.
Sensors measured
out of range.
Traction is disabled.
1) Check the wiring to the
speed sensor feedback if
available.
2) Check supply to speed
sensor if available.
3) Check ground to the speed
sensor if available.
P156C Traction
Controller --
Internal
Hardware
Failure
SC2 A hardware
component internal
to the traction
controller has failed.
Traction is disabled. If fault continues to occur,
replace the controller.
P156D Traction
Controller --
Internal
Software
Failure
SC2 An unexpected
software error has
occurred.
Wrong software
parameter has been
detected.
Traction is disabled.
If fault continues, contact
Toro TAC and replace the
controller.
P156E Traction Motor
Software --
Hardware
Incompatibility
SC2 Thesoftwareisnot
compatible with the
hardware.
Thesoftwarewillnot
operate on the
current controller
hardware.
Traction is disabled.
Replace controller.
P1A01 Battery
Charging --
High Temp
Shutdown
SC1 Abattery
temperature was
measured to be
greater than the
allowed threshold
and will not charge.
Oneormoreofthe
batteries temp is
greater than 60 ºC.
Battery contactor is
opened.
1) Let the machine cool
before charging.
2) Charge the machine in the
shadeorinacooler
environment.
