Beforeyouleavetheoperatingposition,dothe
following:
Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
MovethedirectionselectortotheNEUTRAL
position.
Engagetheparkingbrake.
Shutoffthemachineandremovethekey.
Waitforallmovementtostop.
Allowthemachinetocoolbeforeadjusting,
servicing,cleaning,orstoringit.
Donotstorethemachinewherethereisanopen
ame,spark,orpilotlight,suchasonawater
heaterorotherappliance.
Keepallpartsofthemachineingoodworking
conditionandallhardwaretightened.
Maintainandcleantheseatbelt(s)asnecessary.
Replaceallworn,damaged,ormissingdecals.

Useonlythesuppliedpowercordforbattery
charging.
Conrmthevoltagethatisavailableinyour
countrybeforeusingthecharger.
ForconnectiontoasupplynotintheUS,
useanattachmentplugadapteroftheproper
congurationforthepoweroutlet,ifneeded.
Donotchargethemachineinrainorwet
conditions.
Ariskofre,electricshock,orinjurymayresult
fromusinganaccessorynotrecommendedor
soldbyT oro.
Toreduceriskofabatteryexplosion,followthese
instructionsandtheinstructionsforanyequipment
thatyouintendtousenearthecharger.
Donotopenbatteries.
Intheeventthatabatteryleaks,avoidcontactwith
theliquid.Ifyouaccidentallycomeintocontact
withtheliquid,ushwithwaterandseekmedical
help.Liquidejectedfromthebatterymaycause
irritationorburns.
RefertoanauthorizedTorodistributortoservice
orreplaceabattery.

Neverallowchildrenoruntrainedpeopleto
operateorchargethemachine.Localregulations
mayrestricttheageoftheoperator.Theowner
isresponsiblefortrainingalloperatorsand
mechanics.
Read,understand,andfollowallinstructionson
chargingthemachine.
Preparation
Keepbystandersandchildrenawaywhile
charging.
Wearappropriateclothingwhilecharging,
includingeyeprotection;longpants;and
substantial,slip-resistantfootwear.
Shutoffthemachineandwait5secondsuntilthe
machinehascompletelypowereddownbefore
charging.Failuretodothismaycausearcing.
Ensurethattheareaiswellventilatedwhile
charging.
Readandfollowallprecautionsforcharging.
Thechargerisforuseonlyonnominal100to240
VACcircuits,andisequippedwithagrounding
plugfor120VACoperation.Forusewith240V
circuits,contactyourauthorizedT orodistributorfor
thecorrectpowercord.
UseonlyapowercordapprovedbyToro.

Donotabusethepowersupplycordoryankon
ittodisconnectthechargerfromthereceptacle.
Keepthecordfromheat,oil,andsharpedges.
Connectthechargerdirectlytoagrounding
receptacle.Donotchargeonanungrounded
outlet,evenwithanadaptor.
Donotaltertheprovidedpowercordorplug.
Avoiddroppingametaltoolnearorontoabattery;
itmightcauseasparkorshort-circuitanelectrical
partthatcouldleadtoanexplosion.
Removemetalitemssuchasrings,bracelets,
necklaces,andwatcheswhenworkingwitha
lithium-ionbattery.Alithium-ionbatterycan
produceenoughcurrenttocauseasevereburn.
Useanappropriateextensioncord.
Ifthepowersupplycordisdamagedwhileit
ispluggedin,disconnectthecordfromthe
wallreceptacleandcontactanauthorizedToro
distributorforareplacement.
Unplugthechargerfromtheelectricaloutletwhen
notinuse,beforemovingittoanotherlocation,or
priortoservicingit.
