12.Installthesparkplugsandtighteneachonetothe
recommendedtorque;refertoReplacingtheSpark
Plug(page42).
Note:Donotinstallthespark-plugwiresonthespark
plugs.
13.Checktheantifreezeprotectionandadda50/50
solutionofwaterandantifreezeasneededforexpected
minimumtemperatureinyourarea.
14.Removethebatteryfromthechassis,andchargeit
fully;refertoServicingtheBattery(page45).
Note:Donotconnectthebatterycablestothebattery
postsduringstorage.
Important:Thebatterymustbefullychargedto
preventitfromfreezingandbeingdamagedat
temperaturesbelow0°C(32°F).Afullycharged
batterymaintainsitschargeforabout50days
attemperatureslowerthan4°C(40°F).Ifthe
temperatureswillbeabove4°C(40°F),checkthe
waterlevelinthebatteryandchargeitevery30
days.
15.Checkandtightenallthebolts,nuts,andscrews.Repair
orreplaceanypartthatisdamaged.
16.Paintallthescratchedorbaremetalsurfaces.
