Operatingaccidents,suchashittingcurbs,can
damageatireorrimandalsodisruptwheelalignment,
soinspectthetireconditionafteranaccident.
Important:Checkthetirepressurefrequently
toensureproperination.Ifthetiresarenot
inatedtothecorrectpressure,thetireswillwear
prematurelyandmaycause4-wheeldrivetobind.

Alignment

1.Ensurethatthetirepressuresarecorrectbefore
checkingthefrontwheelalignment;referto
CheckingtheTirePressure(page21).
2.Eitherhaveanoperatorintheoperator’sseat
oraddweighttothedriver’sseatequaltothe
averageoperatorofthevehicle.
Theoperatororweightmustremainontheseat
forthedurationofthefrontwheelalignment
procedure.
3.Onalevelsurface,rollthemachinestraightback
2to3m(6to10ft)andthenstraightforwardto
theoriginalstartingposition.
Thisallowsthemachinesuspensiontosettle
intothenormaloperatingposition.
4.Ensurethatthetiresarefacingstraightahead.
5.Measurethedistancebetweenthefronttiresat
axleheightatboththefrontandrearofthetires
(Figure48).
Thefrontwheeltoe-inshouldbe0±6mm(0
±1/4inch).
Important:Checkthemeasurementsat
consistentlocationsonthetire.Themachine
shouldbeonaatsurfacewiththetires
facingstraightahead.
