DrivingtheMachine
1.Disengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Fullypresstheclutchpedal.
3.Movethegear-shiftlevertorstgear.
4.Releasetheclutchpedalsmoothlywhile
pressingtheacceleratorpedal.
5.Whenthemachinegainsenoughspeed,remove
yourfootfromtheacceleratorpedal,fullypress
theclutchpedal,movethegear-shiftlevertothe
nextgear,andreleasetheclutchpedalwhile
pressingtheacceleratorpedal.
6.Repeattheprocedureuntilthedesiredspeed
isattained.
Important:Alwaysstopthemachinebefore
shiftingtoreversefromaforwardgearorto
aforwardgearfromreverse.
Note:Avoidlongperiodsofengineidling.
Usethechartbelowtodeterminetheground
speedofthemachineat3,600rpm.

StoppingtheMachine
Tostopthemachine,removeyourfootfromthe
acceleratorpedal,thenpressthebrakepedal.
ShuttingOfftheEngine
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Engagetheparkingbrake.
3.RotatethekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionand
removethekey.
UsingtheDifferentialLock
WARNING
Tippingorrollingthemachineonahillwill
causeseriousinjury.
•Theextratractionavailablewiththe
differentiallockcanbeenoughtoget
youintodangeroussituations,suchas
climbingslopesthataretoosteeptoturn
around.Becarefulwhenoperatingwiththe
differentiallockon,especiallyonsteeper
slopes.
•Ifthedifferentiallockisonwhenmakinga
sharpturnatahigherspeedandtheinside
rearwheelliftsofftheground,theremay
bealossofcontrol,whichcouldcausethe
machinetoskid.Usethedifferentiallock
onlyatslowerspeeds.
CAUTION
Turningwiththedifferentiallockoncanresult
inlossofmachinecontrol.Donotoperate
withdifferentiallockonwhenmakingsharp
turnsorathighspeeds.
Thedifferentiallockincreasesthemachinetraction
bylockingtherearwheelssothatawheeldoesnot
spinout.Thiscanhelpwhenyouhaveheavyloadsto
haulonwetturforslipperyareas,goinguphills,oron
sandysurfaces.Itisimportanttoremember,however,
thatthisextratractionisfortemporarylimiteduse
only.Itsusedoesnotreplacethesafeoperation.
Thedifferentiallockcausestherearwheelstospin
atthesamespeed.Whenusingthedifferential
lock,yourabilitytomakesharpturnsissomewhat
restricted,andmayscufftheturf.Usethedifferential
lockonlywhennecessary,atslowerspeeds,andonly
inrstorsecondgear.
