sufcientfor15–221(4–6gal)ofhydraulicoil.Orderpart
no.44-2500fromyourauthorizedTorodistributor.
Note:Iftheoilbecomescontaminated,contactyour
localTorodistributorbecausethesystemmustbeushed.
Contaminatedoilmaylookmilkyorblackwhencompared
tocleanoil.Theserviceintervalmayneedtobeincreased
ifusingmultipleattachmentsastheoilmaybecome
contaminatedquickerwiththemixingofdifferenthydraulic
oils.
1.Cleantheareaaroundthehighowltermounting
area(Figure70).Placeadrainpanunderthelterand
removethelter.
Note:Iftheoilisnotgoingtobedrained,disconnect
andplugthehydrauliclinegoingtothelter.
2.Lubricatethenewltersealinggasketandhandturn
thelterontothelterheaduntilthegasketcontacts
thelterhead.Thentightenit3/4turnfurther.The
ltershouldnowbesealed.
3.Fillthehydraulicreservoirwithapproximately15l(4
gallons)ofhydraulicoil.
4.Startthemachineandrunitatidleforabouttwo
minutestocirculatetheuidandremoveanyair
trappedinthesystem.Stopthemachineandrecheck
theuidlevel.
5.Verifytheoillevel.
6.Disposeoftheoilproperly.
RaisingtheBoxinan
Emergency
Theboxcanberaisedinanemergencywithoutstartingthe
enginebycrankingstarterorbyjumpinghydraulicsystem.
RaisingtheBoxUsingtheStarter
CrankthestarterwhileholdingtheliftleverintheRaise
position.Runthestarterfor15secondsthenwait60seconds
beforeengagingthestarteragain.Iftheenginewillnotcrank,
youmustremovetheloadandbox(attachment)toservice
theengineortransaxle.
RaisingtheBoxbyJumpingthe
HydraulicSystem
CAUTION
Beforeservicingormakingadjustmentstothe
machine,stoptheengine,settheparkingbrake,and
removethekeyfromtheswitch.Anyloadmaterial
mustberemovedfromthebedorotherattachment
beforeworkingunderaraisedbed.Neverwork
underaraisedbedwithoutpositioningthesafety
supportonthefullyextendedcylinderrod.
Note:Twohydraulichoses,eachwithamaleandfemale
quickcoupler,thattthevehiclecouplersarerequiredto
performthisoperation.
1.Backanothervehicleuptotherearofthedisabled
vehicle.
Important:Thevehicleshydraulicsystemuses
DexronIIIATF .Toavoidsystemcontamination,
makesurethevehicleusedtojumpthehydraulic
systemusesanequivalentuid.
2.Onbothvehicles,disconnectthetwoquickcoupler
hosesfromthehosessecuredtothecouplerbracket
(Figure71).
