1.Positionthevehicleonalevelsurface,stopthe
engine,andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Adjusttheballjointontheacceleratorcable
(
Figure72)toallow0.200to0.350inch(5to8.9mm)
ofclearancebetweentheacceleratorpedalarmand
thetopofthediamondtreadoorplate(Figure72),
whena20lb(9kg)forceisappliedtothecenterof
thepedal.Tightenthelocknut.
Note:Theenginemustnotberunningandthe
returnspringmustbeattached.
WARNING
Thegovernorispresetatthefactorytoa
maximumenginespeedof3650rpm.Ifthe
speedisnotcorrect,refertotheWorkman

1.Loosenthejamnutssecuringtheclutchcabletothe
bracketonthebellhousing(
Figure74).

edgeoftheclutchpedalis3.75±0.12inch(9.5±0.3
cm)fromthetopoftheoorplatediamondpattern,
whenan4lb(1.8kg)forceisappliedtothepedal
(Figure75).
