•Usecarewhencheckingthereelcutting-unit.
Wearglovesandusecautionwhenservicingthe
reel.
•Awornordamagedbladeorbedknifecanbreak,
andapiececouldbethrowntowardyouor
bystanders,resultinginseriouspersonalinjuryor
death.
•Inspectthebladesandbedknivesperiodicallyfor
excessivewearordamage.
•Usecarewhencheckingtheblades.Weargloves
andusecautionwhenservicingthem.Only
replaceorbacklapthebladesandbedknives;
neverstraightenorweldthem.
•Whenservicingtheblades,beawarethatyou
canstillmovethebladesafteryoudisconnectthe
power.

1.MovethekickstandtotheCUTTING-UNIT-SERVICE
position;refertoKickstand(page11).
2.Removethehardwarethatsecuresthereel-drive
assemblytothesideplate(Figure31).
