Maintenance
1. Clean under belt cover and check belt tension every 50
hours.
2. Grease fittings weekly or after every washing.
3. When replacing roller brush, torque J bolts to 20 to
25 in–lbs.
Installation on Cutting Units With
Groomer
1. Remove (2) nuts securing belt cover to brush kit drive
assembly (Fig. 11). Remove cover and set aside for
now.
Note: Account for (2) shoulder spacers on cover mounting
studs.

2. Remove (2) locknuts securing groomer cover to
groomer drive assembly (Fig. 12) Remove cover.

3. Remove plug from groomer cover (Fig. 12).
4. Install rubber grommet into hole in groomer cover
(Fig. 13).

5. Remove screw and washer securing groomer drive
pulley to cutting unit reel shaft (Fig. 14).

6. Re–install groomer cover to groomer drive assembly
with (2) locknuts previously removed.
Note: Make sure groomer cover is mounted with the boss
toward the front (Fig. 12).
7. Secure the left brush mounting bracket to the inside of
the cutting unit side plate with (2) capscrews and flange
head nuts (Fig. 15).
8. Secure front of drive assembly to boss in groomer cover
with a bearing spacer, flat washer and capscrew
(Fig. 15).
