B.Insertalong-handledprybar(3/8x12inchwithscrewdriverhandle
recommended)throughthebottomofthecuttingunit.Theprybarshould
passbetweenthetopofthereelshaftandthebacksofthereelbladesso
thatthereelwillnotmove.
IMPORTANT
Toavoidgrindingthereel,donotcontactthecuttingedgeof
anybladewiththeprybarasthismaydamagethecuttingedge
and/orcauseahighblade.
C.Movetheprybaragainsttheweldsideofthereelsupportplateclosestto
thereelnutbeingloosened.
IMPORTANT
Thereelnutontheleftendofthecuttingreelhasablacknish
andhasleft-handthreads.Thereelnutontherightendofthe
cuttingreelhasasilvernishandhasright-handthreads.
D.Restthehandleoftheprybaragainstthefrontrollerandloosenthereel
nutclosesttotheprybar.
E.Positiontheprybarinthesamemannerontheoppositeendofthereel
andloosentheremainingreelnut.

5.Removethebedbar;refertoRemovingtheBedbar(page7–6).
6.Removethefrontroller;refertoRemovingtheFrontRoller(page7–23).
7.Removetherearroller;refertoRemovingtheRearRoller(page7–24).
8.Removethefastenersthatsecurethecrosslink(item15)topitcharmsand
removethecrosslink.
9.Supportthecuttingreeltopreventitfromshiftingorfallingandremovethe
twoshoulderboltsandtwoangenutsthatsecureeithersideplatetothe
cuttingunitframe.Removethesideplatefromthecuttingunit.
10.Carefullyslidethecuttingreelassembly(withseals,bearingsandreelnuts)
fromtheoppositesideplate.Retrievetheatwirespringfromthereel
bearingboreoftheleftsideplate.
11.Thoroughlycleananygreaseandcorrosionfromthereelbearingboresin
thesideplates.Inspectsideplatesandpitcharmsforwearordamageand
replacecomponentsifneeded.
12.Inspecttheremainingcuttingunitcomponentsforcorrosion,wear,ordamage
andreplacethecomponentsasnecessary.
