RecommendedFuel:Unleadedgasolinewithan
octaneratingof87orhigher((R+M)/2ratingmethod)
Ethanol:Gasolinewithupto10%ethanol(gasohol)
or15%MTBE(methyltertiarybutylether)byvolume
isacceptable.EthanolandMTBEarenotthesame.
Gasolinewith15%ethanol(E15)byvolumeisnot
approvedforuse.
•Neverusegasolinethatcontainsmorethan
10%ethanolbyvolume,suchasE15(contains
15%ethanol),E20(contains20%ethanol),orE85
(containsupto85%ethanol).
•Donotusefuelthatcontainsmethanol.
•Donotstorefueleitherinthefueltankorfuel
containersoverthewinter,unlessyouuseafuel
stabilizer.
•Donotaddoiltogasoline.
•Forbestresults,useonlyclean,fresh(lessthan
30daysold)fuel.
•Usingunapprovedgasolinemaycause
performanceproblemsand/orenginedamage,
whichmaynotbecoveredunderthewarranty.
Important:Donotusefueladditivesotherthan
afuelstabilizer/conditioner.Donotusefuel
stabilizerswithanalcoholbasesuchasethanol,
methanol,orisopropanol.
FillingtheFuelTank
1.Engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,
removethekey,andwaitforallmovementto
stop.
2.Cleanaroundthefuel-tankcapandremoveit
(Figure27).

3.Addthespeciedfueltothefueltankuntilthe
levelis25mm(1inch)belowthebottomofthe
llerneck.Thisspaceinthetankallowsthefuel
toexpand.
Important:Donotllthefueltank
completelyfull.
4.Installthecap.
Note:Youwillhearaclicksoundwhenthecap
issecure.
5.Wipeupanyspilledfuel.
