Storage
Ifyouwishtostorethemachineforalongperiodof
time,thefollowingstepsshouldbeperformedprior
tostorage:
1.Removeaccumulationsofdirtandoldgrass
clippings.Sharpenthereelsandbedknives,if
necessary;refertotheCuttingUnitOperator's
Manual.Usearustpreventiveonbedknivesand
reelblades.Greaseandoilalllubricationpoints;
refertoLubrication(page40).
2.Blockupthewheelstoremoveanyweighton
thetires.
3.Drainandreplacethehydraulicuidandlter
andinspectthehydrauliclinesandttings.
Replace,ifnecessary;refertoChangingthe
HydraulicOilandFilter(page48)andChecking
theHydraulicLinesandHoses(page48).
4.Allfuelshouldberemovedfromthefueltank.
Runtheengineuntilitstopsfromlackoffuel.
Replacethefuellter;refertoServicingtheFuel
Filter(page42).
5.Whiletheengineisstillwarm,draintheoilfrom
thecrankcase.Rellitwithfreshoil;referto
ChangingtheEngineOilandFilter(page41).
6.Cleandirtandchafffromthecylinder,cylinder
headns,andblowerhousing.
7.Removethebatteryandchargeitfully.Either
storeitontheshelforonthemachine.Leave
thecablesdisconnectedifitisstoredonthe
machine.Storethebatteryinacoolatmosphere
toavoidquickdeteriorationofthechargeinthe
battery.
8.Ifpossible,storethemachineinawarm,dry
location.
