Movingthecontrol(Figure18)forwardduring
operationlowersthecuttingunitsandstartsthereels.
Pullbackonthecontroltostopthereelsandraise
thecuttingunits.Duringoperationthereelscanbe
stoppedbypullingbackonthecontrolmomentarily
andreleasingit.ThisfeatureisknownasT ap-off
andisadjustableintheInfoCenter.Startthereelsby
movingthecontrolforward.
Functional-ControlLever
Thefunctionalcontrollever(Figure18)provides
2tractionselectionsplusaNeutralposition.Itis
permissibletoshiftfrommowtotransportortransport
tomow(nottoneutral)whilethemachineisinmotion.

RearPosition—neutralandbacklapping
MiddlePosition—usedformowingoperation
FrontPosition—usedfortransportoperation
IgnitionSwitch
Insertthekeyintotheswitch(Figure18)andturnit
clockwiseasfaraspossibletotheStartpositionto
starttheengine.Releasethekeyassoonasthe
enginestarts;thekeywillmovetotheOnposition.
TurnthekeycounterclockwisetotheOffpositionto
stoptheengine.
BacklapSwitch
Thebacklapswitchislocatedundertheplasticcover
totheleftoftheseat.Usethebacklapswitch(Figure
19)inconjunctionwiththeraise/lowermowcontrol
leverandthereelspeedcontrolforbacklappingthe
reels.
