RemovingtheCuttingUnits
1.Parkthemachineonacleanlevelsurface,
lowerthecuttingunitstothegrounduntilthe
suspensionhydraulicsarefullyextended,stop
theengine,andsettheparkingbrake.
2.Pushthemotorretainingbaroutoftheslotson
themotortowardsthecuttingunitandremove
themotorfromthecuttingunit.

thecuttingunitsinstalled,securethemto
thesuspensionarmsusingcableties.
4.Openthelatchesonthesuspension-armbarof
thecuttingunityouareremoving(Figure29).
5.Disconnectthelatchesfromthecutting-unitbar.
6.Rollthecuttingunitoutfromunderthe
suspensionarm.
7.Repeatsteps2through6fortheothercutting
unitsasrequired.
SettingtheReelSpeed
Toachieveaconsistent,high-qualitycutanda
uniform,after-cutappearance,youmustcorrectlyset
thereelspeedcontrol(locatedonthemanifoldblock
underthecovertotheleftoftheseat).Adjustthereel
speedcontrolasfollows:
1.Selecttheheight-of-cutatwhichthecuttingunits
areset.
2.Choosethedesiredgroundspeedbestsuited
forconditions.
3.Usingtheappropriategraph(SeeFigure34)for
5,8,11,or14bladecuttingunits,determinethe
properreelspeedsetting.
