1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Removethedipstickandwipeitwithacleanrag
(Figure28).
Important:Removethedipstickwhilelling
theenginewithoil.Whenaddingengine
oilorllingoil,theremustbeclearance
betweentheoillldeviceandtheoilll
holeinthevalvecoverasshowninFigure
27.Thisclearanceisnecessarytopermit
ventingwhenlling,whichpreventstheoil
fromoverrunningintothebreather.

6.Startandruntheengineatidlefor30seconds,
thenshuttheengineoff.Wait30seconds,then
repeatsteps2through5.
7.Installthellercapanddipstickrmlyinplace.

1.Removethedrainplugandletoilowintoa
drainpan.Whentheoilstops,installthedrain
plug(Figure29).
