Note:Thedelayinraisingandloweringthe
centercuttingunitdependsonhydraulicuid
temperature.Coldhydraulicuidresultsina
longerdelay.Astheuidtemperatureincreases,
thedelaytimebecomesshorter.

equaldistancefromtheedgeofthepreviouscut,
imagineasightlineapproximately1.8to3m(6
to10ft)aheadofthemachinetotheedgeofthe
uncutportionofthegreen(Figure23).Include
theouteredgeofthesteeringwheelaspartof
thesightline;i.e.,keepthesteeringwheeledge
alignedwithapointthatisalwayskeptthesame
distanceawayfromthefrontofthemachine.
5.Asthefrontedgesofthebasketscrosstheedge
ofthegreen,pullbacktheraise/lowermowlever
rearwardandholdituntilallthecuttingunits
haverisen.Thisstopsthereelsandliftsthe
cuttingunits.
Important:Timethisstepcorrectlysothat
youdonotcutintothefringearea,yetcutas
muchofthegreenaspossibletominimize
theamountofgrasslefttomowaroundthe
outerperiphery.
6.Tocutdownonoperatingtimeandtoeasethe
lineupforthenextpass,momentarilyturnthe
machineintheoppositedirection,thenturn
itinthedirectionoftheuncutportion.This
movementisatear-shapedturn(Figure22),
whichquicklylinesthemachineupforyournext
pass.

periphery.Changethedirectionofcuttingfrom
thepreviousmowing.
Note:Usethethrottlelevertoadjustthe
machinespeedwhenyoucuttheperiphery.
Thiswillmatchthecliptothegreenandmay
reducetriplexring.
Note:Alwayskeepweatherandturfconditions
inmindandbesuretochangethedirectionof
mowingfromthepreviouscutting.
2.Whennishedmowingtheouterperiphery,tap
theraise/lowermowleverrearwardtostopthe
reels,thendriveoffthegreen.Whenallthe
cuttingunitsareoffthegreen,raisethecutting
units.
