Eachdaybeforeoperatingthemachine,checkthe
reel-to-bedknifecontact,regardlessifthequalityofcut
hadpreviouslybeenacceptable.Theremustbelight
contactacrossthefulllengthofthereelandbedknife;
refertotheCuttingUnitOperatorsManual.
BacklappingtheReels
WARNING
Contactwiththereelsorothermovingparts
canresultinpersonalinjury.
Keepyourngers,hands,andclothing
awayfromthereelsorothermovingparts.
Neverattempttoturnthereelsbyhandor
footwhiletheengineisrunning.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
cuttingunits,shutofftheengine,removethe
key,andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Removetheplasticcovertotheleftsideofthe
seat.
3.Makeinitialreeltobedknifeadjustments
appropriateforbacklappingonallcuttingunits
whicharetobebacklapped;refertotheCutting
UnitOperatorsManual.
DANGER
Changingtheenginespeedwhile
backlappingmaycausethereelstostall.
Neverchangetheenginespeedwhile
backlapping.
Backlaponlyatidleenginespeed.
