InspectingandCleaning
afterMowing
Aftermowing,thoroughlywashthemachinewitha
gardenhosewithoutanozzlesothatexcessivewater
pressuredoesnotcontaminateanddamagetheseals
andbearings.Donotwashawarmengineorthe
electricalconnectionswithwater.
Important:Donotusebrackishorreclaimed
watertocleanthemachine.
Important:Donotusepower-washingequipment
towashthemachine.Power-washingequipment
maydamagetheelectricalsystem,loosen
importantdecals,orwashawaynecessarygrease
atfrictionpoints.Avoidexcessiveuseofwater
nearthecontrolpanel,engine,andbattery.
Important:Donotwashthemachinewiththe
enginerunning.Washingthemachinewiththe
enginerunningmayresultininternalengine
damage.
Aftercleaningthemachine,dothefollowing:
•Inspectthemachineforpossiblehydraulic
uidleaks,damageorweartohydraulicand
mechanicalcomponents.
•Inspectthecuttingunitsforsharpness.
•Lubricatethebrake-shaftassemblywithSAE30
oilorspraylubricanttodetercorrosionandhelp
keepthemachineperformingsatisfactorilyduring
thenextmowingoperation.
TowingtheMachine
Incaseofanemergency,youcantowthemachine
forupto0.4km(1/4mile).
Important:Donottowthemachinefasterthan3
to5km/h(2to3mph)toavoiddamagingthedrive
system.Ifyoumustmovethemachinemorethan
0.4km(1/4mile),transportitonatruckortrailer.
