IMPORTANT
Checkhydraulictankuidlevelfrequentlywhilechargingthesystem
andadduidasnecessary.
7.Makesuretractionpedalisinneutral.Starttheengineandletitidleatlow
speed.
Note:Thehydraulicpumpsshouldpickuphydraulicuidandllthehydraulic
system.Ifthereisnoindicationofthesystemllingwithin30seconds,stop
theengineanddeterminethecause.
8.Afterthehydraulicsystemstartstoshowsignsoflling:
A.Operatethejoystickuntiltheliftcylindersmoveinandoutthefulldistance
severaltimes.Ifthecylindersdonotmoveafter15secondsorthepump
emitsabnormalsounds:
B.TurntheengineOFFimmediately
C.Makesureoneofthehydraulicuidltersorthesuctionlineisnot
loose
D.Checkforincorrecthoserouting
E.Ensurethesuctionlineisnotblocked
F.Makesurethechargereliefvalve(CV)isnotblockedordamaged
(open)
G.Testgearpump(P2)fordamage
H.Ifthetractionpumporawheelmotorwasreplacedorrebuilt:
I.Operatethetractionpedalintheforwardandreversedirections.
Makesurethewheelsareturningintheproperdirectionandallow
thewheelsturnslowlyforten(10)minutes.
J.AdjustthetractionforNEUTRAL;refertothetractionunitOperator's
Manual.
K.Ifthegearpumpwasreplacedorrebuilt,runthecuttingunitsatthe
minimumspeedsetting(undernoload)forten(10)minutes.
L.Ifareelmotorwasreplacedorrebuilt,runthecuttingunitsattheminimum
speedsetting(undernoload)forten(10)minutesinbothdirections.
9.Lowerthemachinetotheground.
10.Operatethetractionunitandcuttingunitsbygraduallyincreasingtheirwork
loadtofulloveraten(10)minuteperiod.
11.Stopthemachine,checkthehydrauliccomponentsforleaksandtighten
anylooseconnections.
12..Checktheuidlevelinthehydraulictankifnecessary.
13.Checkthelevelandconditionofthehydraulicuidandadjustifnecessary;
refertothetractionunitOperator’sManual.
Note:Ifnewuidshowsanysignsofcontamination,ushhydraulicsystem
againuntiltheuidisclean;refertoFlushingtheHydraulicSystem(page
4–74).
