isimportant,therefore,toinspectthefairwaysfrequently
andvarythegroomingpracticeinaccordancewiththe
need.
Note:Thepracticeofchangingthedirectionofcuteach
timethefairwayiscutshouldbecontinuedwhenagroomeris
used.Thisrotationwillenhancetheeffectsofthegrooming.
Note:Usingthegroomerreelinanimproperoroverly
aggressivemanner(toodeeportoofrequentgrooming)may
causeunnecessarystressoftheturfleadingtosevereturf
damage.Usethegroomercautiously.
Note:Operatethegroomerinastraightlineasmuchas
possible.Usecautionwhenturningwhileoperatingthe
groomer.
AdjustingtheGroomerHeight
1.Parkthemachineonacleanandlevelsurface,lower
thecuttingunitscompletelytotheground,stopthe
engine,engagetheparkingbrakeandremovethekey
fromtheignitionswitch.
2.Makesurethattherollersarecleanandcuttingunit
issettothedesiredheightofcut;refertothecutting
unitOperator’sManual.
3.Rotatethequick-uplevers(Figure22)totheengaged
position(handlepointingtowardthefrontofthe
cuttingunit).UsetheHeightofCut(HOC)and
HeightofGroom(HOG)recommendedrange
chartforsettingthegaugebar.
4.On1endofthegroomerreel,measurethedistance
fromthelowesttipofthegroomerbladetothe
workingsurface(Figure22).Turntheheight-adjuster
knob(Figure22)toraiseorlowerthegroomerblade
tiptothedesiredheight.

Thencheckthesettingontherstsideofthegroomer.
