ServiceInterval:Every800hours
Afterevery800operatinghoursorannually,checkthe
rearwheeltoe-in.
1.Measurethecenter-to-centerdistance(ataxleheight)
atthefrontandrearofthesteeringtires.Thefront
measurementmustbe1/8in.(3mm)lessthanthe
rearmeasurement.
2.Toadjust,removethecotterpinandnutfromeither
tierodballjoint.Removetierodballjointfromaxle
casesupport(Figure71).
3.Loosentheclampsatbothendsofthetierods
(Figure71).

4.Rotatethedetachedballjointinwardoroutward
one(1)completerevolution.Tightenclampatloose
endoftierod.
5.Rotatetheentiretierodassemblythesamedirection
(inwardoroutward)one(1)completerevolution.

6.Installtheballjointintheaxlecasesupportand
tightenthenutngertight.Measuretoe-in.
7.Repeatprocedureifnecessary.
8.Tightenthenutandinstallanewcotterpinwhen
theadjustmentiscorrect.
AdjustingtheTractionDrive
forNeutral
Themachinemustnotcreepwhentractionpedalis
released.Ifitdoescreep,anadjustmentisrequired.
1.Parkmachineonalevelsurface,shutengineoffand
lowercuttingunitstotheoor.Depressonlythe
rightbrakepedalandengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Jackupleftsideofmachineuntilfronttireisoffthe
shopoor.Supportmachinewithjackstandsto
preventitfromfallingaccidentally.
Note:On4wheeldrivemodels,leftreartiremust
alsobeofftheshopoor.
3.Startengineandallowrunatlowidle.
4.Adjustjamnutsonpumprodendtomovepump
controltubeforwardtoeliminateforwardcreepor
rearwardtoeliminaterearwardcreep(Figure72).
