topostswithcapscrewsandnuts.Makesurethatthe
positive(+)terminalisallofthewayontothepost
andthecableispositionedsnugtothebattery.The
cablemustnotcontactthebatterycover.Slidethe
rubberbootoverthepositiveterminaltopreventa
possibleshortfromoccurring.

Note:Checkthebatteryconditionweeklyorafterevery
50hoursofoperation.Keeptheterminalsandtheentire
batterycasecleanbecauseadirtybatterywilldischarge
slowly.Tocleanthebattery,removeitfromthemachine,
washtheentirecasewithasolutionofbakingsodaand
water.Rinsewithclearwater.Coatthebatterypostsand
cableconnectorswithGrafo112X(skin-over)grease
(ToroPartNo.505-47)orpetroleumjellytoprevent
corrosion.
