Theturfcompensationspring(Figure21)transfers
weightfromthefronttotherearroller.(Thishelps
toreduceawavepatternintheturf,alsoknownas
marcellingorbobbing.)
Important:Makespringadjustmentswiththe
cuttingunitmountedtothetractionunit,pointing
straightaheadandloweredtotheshopoor.
1.Makesurethehairpincotterisinstalledintherear
holeinthespringrod(
Figure21).
Note:Whenservicingthecuttingunit,movethe
hairpincottertothespringrodholenexttotheturf
compensationspring.
