IMPORTANT
Donotholdoverreliefforlongerthannecessarytoobtainthe
pressurereading,whileyouperformthistest.
10.Monitorthepressuregaugecarefullywhileyouslowlyclosethetester
owcontrolvalve.Asthereliefvalvelifts,thepressuregaugeneedlewill
momentarilystop.
Note:Thesystempressurewillcontinuetoincrease,oncethereliefvalveis
opened.
11.Oncethereliefvalvelifts,thesystempressureshouldbe:
Approximately17,500kPa(2,500psi)forthereliefvalve(RV1)
Approximately24,100kPa(3,500psi)forthereliefvalve(RV2)
12.Openthetesterowcontrolvalve,disengagethecuttingunitsandshutoff
theengine.
13.Ifthepressureisincorrect,removetheRVvalveonthemowmanifold,and
cleanorreplacethevalve;refertoServicingtheMowControlManifold
Assembly(page6–190).
14.Ifyouarenotabletoobtainreliefpressure,checkforarestrictioninthe
pumpintakelineand/orcheckthegearpump(P2)(frontcuttingreelcircuit)
and/orpump(P1)(rearcuttingreelcircuit)forwear,damage,orinefciency;
refertoT estingtheMowCircuit–GearPump(P1)and(P2)Flow(5610-D)
(page6–127).
15.Afteryoucompletethetesting,shutofftheengine,andthenrelease
hydraulicsystempressure;refertoReleasingPressurefromtheHydraulic
System(page6–8).Disconnectthetesterfromthemachineandconnectthe
hydraulichosetothereelmotortting.
16.Starttheengine,checkforhydraulic-uidleaks,repairanyleaksas
necessary,andllthehydraulictankwiththecorrectquantityofnewhydraulic
uidbeforereturningthemachinetoservice.
