coilontheliftcontrolmanifoldfrombeingenergized(refer
toTroubleshooting(page7–26)ortheElectricalSchematic
andWireHarnessDrawings/DiagramsinAppendixA(page
A–1)).
•Theowcontroloriceintheliftcontrolmanifoldfortherear
cuttingunits(C23orC23L)isplugged,stuck,ordamaged.
•Thecheckvalveintheliftcontrolmanifoldfortherear
cuttingunits(CV23)isstuckordamaged.
Onecuttingreellowersveryslowlyornotatall.•Theliftarmorliftcylinderfortheaffectedcuttingreelis
binding.
•Theliftcylinderfortheaffectedcuttingreelisdamaged.
•Theowcontroloriceintheliftcontrolmanifoldforthe
affectedcuttingreelisplugged,stuck,ordamaged.
•Thecheckvalveintheliftcontrolmanifold(CV1,CV4,CV5,
andCV23)isstuckordamaged.

Thesteeringisinoperativeorsluggish.
•Thesteeringcomponents(e.g.,tierods,steeringcylinder
ends)arewornorbinding.
•Thesteeringcylinderisbinding.
•Theuidlevelinthehydraulicreservoirislow(other
hydraulicsystemsareaffectedaswell).
•Thesteeringreliefvalve(R10)inthesteeringcontrolvalve
isstuckordamaged.
•Thesteeringcylinderleaksinternally.
•Thesteeringcontrolvalveiswornordamaged.
•Thegearpumpsection(P3)iswornordamaged.
Note:Awornordamagedgearpumpsection(P3)willalso
affectthetraction(charge)circuit.
Turningthesteeringwheelturnsthemachineinwrong
direction.
•Hosestothesteeringcylinderarereversed.
