LowertheCuttingUnits
Whenthejoystickismovedtothelowerpositionwiththeenginerunning,
solenoidvalve(SVRV)energizesalongwithsolenoidvalves(SV1)and(SV3).
Solenoidvalve(SV2)isinitsnormallyde-energizedposition,anddirectsuid
owtothepistonendoftheliftcylinders.Hydraulicpressureagainstthepiston
sideofthecylindercausestheshaftstoextend,andlowerthecuttingunits.The
pilotedcheckvalvesintheliftcontrolmanifold(CV1,CV4,CV5,andCV23)are
shiftedbyhydraulicpressuretoallowreturnowfromtheextendingliftcylinders.
Fixedoricesintheliftcontrolmanifold(C1,C4,C5,andC23)controlthe
loweringspeedbyprovidingarestrictionforthereturnowfromtheliftcylinders.
Becausecuttingunitweightassistsinextendingtheliftcylinderswhenlowering
thecuttingunits,lesshydraulicpressureisnecessaryduringthecuttingunit
loweringoperation.Liftcircuitlowerreliefvalve(R7)allowsliftcircuitpressureto
belimitedto3,447kPa(500psi)whileloweringthecuttingunits.
Note:Adjustmentofliftcircuitlowerreliefvalve(R7)isnotrecommended.
Whenthejoystickisreturnedtotheneutral(center)position,thesolenoidvalves
arede-energizedandtheliftcylinders(andcuttingunits)areheldinthelowered
position.
