CAUTION
Contactwiththereel,bedknifeorothercuttingunitpartscanresult
inpersonalinjury.Useheavygloveswhenremovingthecuttingreel.
IMPORTANT
Ifthereelbearingsorsealsarebeingreplaced,thereelsplineinserts
mustberemoved.Usethefollowingproceduretorestrainthereel
andloosenthesplineinsertbeforeremovingtherollers.
4.Loosenthesplineinserts:
A.Tipthecuttingunittoaccessthebottomofthereel.

recommended)throughthebottomofthecuttingunit.Theprybarshould
passbetweenthetopofthereelshaftandthebacksofthereelbladesso
thatthereelwillnotmove.
IMPORTANT
Toavoidgrindingthereel,donotcontactthecuttingedgeof
anybladewiththeprybarasthismaydamagethecuttingedge
and/orcauseahighblade.
C. Move the pry bar against the weld side of the reel support plate closest
to the spline insert being loosened. Use correct spline insert tool
(see Special Tools (page 9–5)).
