(traction)pumphavesufcientuidduringinitialstart-upandrunning.The
pumpscanbeprimedbyusingaremotestarterswitch(refertoRemoteStarter
Switch(page6–49))tocranktheenginewhichallowsthepumpstoprime.
Usethefollowingproceduretoprimethehydraulicpumps:
1.EnsurethatthekeyswitchisintheOFFpositionandthekeyisremoved
fromthekeyswitch.
2.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulicreservoirandaddcorrect
quantityofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperatorsManual.

Note:AbluewireconnectstothestartermotorsolenoidB+terminal(Figure
142).Itisnotnecessarytoremovethisbluewirefromthesolenoidterminal
forhydraulicpumppriming.
3.Connecttheremotestarterswitchelectricalleadstothestartermotor
solenoidB+terminalandpositivepostofthebattery.
4.Engagetheremotestarterswitchandcrankthestarterfor30secondsto
primethehydraulicpumps.Waitfor30secondstoallowthestartermotorand
startersolenoidtocool.Repeatthecrankingprocedureforthesecondtime.
5.Disconnecttheremotestarterswitchleadsfromthestartermotorsolenoid
terminalandpositivepostofthebattery.
FlushingtheHydraulicSystem
IMPORTANT
Flushthehydraulicsystemwheneverthereisaseverecomponent
failureorthesystemiscontaminated(forexample,theuidappears
milky,black,orcontainsmetalparticles).
