LowertheCuttingUnits
Whenthejoystickismovedtothelowerpositionwiththeenginerunning,the
solenoidvalve(SVRV)energizesalongwithsolenoidvalves(SV1)and(SV3).
Thesolenoidvalve(SV2)isinitsnormallyde-energizedposition,anddirects
uidowtothepistonendoftheliftcylinders.Thehydraulicpressureagainst
thepistonsideofthecylindercausestheshaftstoextend,andlowerthecutting
units.Thepilotedcheckvalvesintheliftcontrolmanifoldareshiftedbyhydraulic
pressuretoallowreturnowfromtheextendingliftcylinders.Fixedoricesinthe
liftcontrolmanifold(CV1,CV4,CV5,andCV23)controltheloweringspeedby
providingarestrictionforthereturnowfromtheliftcylinders.
Becausecuttingunitweightassistsinextendingtheliftcylinderswhenlowering
thecuttingunits,lesshydraulicpressureisnecessaryduringthecuttingunit
loweringoperation.Liftcircuitlowerreliefvalve(R7)allowsliftcircuitpressureto
belimitedto3,447kPa(500psi)whileloweringthecuttingunits.
Note:Donotadjusttheliftcircuitlowerreliefvalve(R7).
Whenthejoystickisreturnedtotheneutral(center)position,thesolenoidvalves
arede-energizedandtheliftcylinders(andcuttingunits)areheldinthelowered
position.
