Youmustusea6-pointsocketwithaheavywalltoremovethegear
boxfromthereel.Donotuseanimpactwrench.Groomergearboxes
installedontheleftsideofthecuttingunitusealefthandthread;
turnthedriveshaftincorrectdirectiontoremovethegearbox.
10.Restthehandleoftheprybaragainstthefrontrollerandturnthedriveshaft
incorrectdirectiontoloosenitfromthereel.Continuetounscrewthedrive
shaftandremovethegearboxfromthecuttingunit.

A.Removethedrain/llpluganddraintheoilfromthegearbox.
B.Removethe4socket-headscrewsandremovethegearboxcover
assemblyanddrivengear.Removeanddiscardthecovergasket.
C.Slidethethrustwasher,ringgearandbushingfromthegearboxhousing.
D.Slidethesungear,andplanetgearsandbushingsfromthepinsonthe
gearboxhousing.
E.Removetheretainingringfromthedriveshaft.
F.Slidethegroomerhousingassemblyfromthedriveshaft.
G.Tipupthecuttingunittoaccessthebottomofthereeltoremovethe
driveshaftassembly.
H.Insertalong-handledprybar(3/8x12inchwithscrewdriverhandle
recommended)throughthebottomofthecuttingunit.Theprybarshould
passbetweenthetopofthereelshaftandthebacksofthereelbladesso
thatthereelwillnotmove.
