87Aandapply+12VDCtotheterminal85.Therelayshouldmakeand
breakcontinuitybetweentheterminals30and87Aas+12VDCissetand
removedfromtheterminal85.
10.Aftertesting,disconnectthevoltageandmultimetertestleadsfromthe
relayterminals.
11.Replacetherelayiftestingdeterminesthattherelayisdamaged.
12.Iftherelaytestingiscorrectandacircuitproblemstillexists,checkthe
mainwireharness;refertotheElectricalSchematicandWireHarness
Drawings/DiagramsinAppendixA(pageA–1).
13.Securetherelaytothemountingbracketandconnectthewireharness
electricalconnectortotherelay.
14.Connectthepositive(+)cabletothebatteryandthenconnectthenegative
(-)cabletothebattery;refertoServicingtheBattery(page7–125).
15.Installthehoodsaddle.Lowerandsecurethehood.
