systemreducesthenumberofelectricalcomponentsandconnectionsthatare
usedonthemachineandallowsthenumberofwiresinthewireharnesstobe
signicantlyreduced.Theintegrationoftheelectricalfunctionsalsoallowsthe
InfoCenterdisplaytoassistwiththeelectricalsystemdiagnostics.
TheCANidentiesthecontrollerareanetworkthatisusedbetweencontrol
componentsonthemachine.The2speciallydesigned,twistedcablesformthe
bus.Thebuswiresareblack/whiteandred/white.Thesewiresprovidethedata
pathwaysbetweentheTEC,YanmarengineECU(ifequipped),andInfoCenter
displayusedonthemachine.Theengineeringtermforthesecablesarethe
CANHighandCANLow.Attheendsofthetwistedpairofbuscablesarethe
120-ohmterminatorresistors.Oneoftheseresistorsisincludedinthewire
harnessneartheInfoCenterdisplayandthesecondiseitherinsidetheengine
ECUorincludedintheenginewireharness.
TheCAN-buslinkcontrolseachofthecomponentsthatrequiresonly4wires
tooperateandcommunicatetothesystem:CANHigh,CANLow,B+(power),
andground.TheCAN-busneedsthekeyswitchON/RUNinputfortheTECand
engineECUtobeactivated.
IMPORTANT
Theterminatorresistorsattheendsofthebuscablesarerequired
forproperelectricalsystemoperation.
