controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page6–8).

3.Liftandsupporttheoperatorseatandremovetheoorplatetogetaccessto
thehydraulicpump.

4.Cleanthehydraulichoseendandthepumpttingattheoutletofpump(P4)
(Figure141).
IMPORTANT
Ensurethattheuidowindicatorarrowontheowgaugeis
showingthattheuidwillowfromthepump(P4),throughthe
tester,andtotheliftcontrolmanifold.
5.Connectthetesterinlettothepumptting,andconnectthetesteroutletto
thedisconnectedhydraulichose.Ensurethattheowcontrolvalveontester
isfullyopen.
6.Starttheengineandrunitatlow-idlespeed.Checkforhydraulic-uidleaks
fromthetestconnectionsandcorrectbeforecontinuingthetest.
7.Withtheenginerunning,presstheenginespeedswitchtofullspeed(3,005
to3,055rpm)position.UsetheInfoCentertocheckthattheenginespeedis
correct.
8.VerifythepumpowatNoLoadasfollows:
Recordthetesterpressureandowreadingsatnoload.Unrestrictedpump
outputshouldbeapproximately11.4L/minute(3gallons/minute).
