metertestleadstogether.Themeterwilldisplayasmallresistancevalue
(usually0.5ohmsorless)duetotheinternalresistanceofthemeterand
testleads.Subtractthisvaluefromthemeasuredvalueofthecomponent
youaretesting.
5.Checkresistanceofthesenderwithamultimeter(ohmssetting)asthe
temperatureincreasesandrecordmeasuredresistancevalues.Compareto
specicationsbelow.Replacesenderifspecicationsarenotmet.

6.Whentemperaturesendertestingiscomplete,installtemperaturesenderto

A.Cleanthreadsofwaterangeandtemperaturesender.Applythread
sealanttothethreadsofthesender.
B.Screwsenderintothewaterangeuntilitisngertight.Then,tighten
senderanadditional2to3fullturns.
C.Connectwireharnessconnectortosender.
7.Fillenginecoolingsystem.
8.Closeandsecurehood.
