AdjustingtheTractionNeutralSwitch
1.Beforeadjustingthetractionneutralswitch,checkandadjustthetraction
systemneutralposition;refertotheTractionUnitOperatorsManual.
IMPORTANT
Topreventthetractionneutralswitchdamage,ensurethatno
componentscontactswitchthroughentiretractionpumpcontrol
armmovement.
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,settheparkingbrake,lowerthecutting
units,shutofftheengine,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.

3.WhenthetractionpedalisintheNEUTRALposition,thegapbetweenthe
headoftheneutralswitchandthepumplevershouldbe2.4to2.5mm
(0.094to0.100inch)(Figure220).
4.Ifgapisincorrect,loosenthejamnutsthatsecuretheneutralswitchtothe
pumpplate.Positiontheswitchwithjamnutstoallowcorrectgapbetween
theswitchandthepumplever.T orquethejamnutsto18.4to22.4N∙m
(162to198in-lb).Afterthejamnutsaretightened,ensurethatclearance
betweentheheadoftheneutralswitchandthepumpplatehasnotchanged.
5.Afteradjustmenttothetractionneutralswitch,usetheInfoCenterdisplay
toverifythatthetractionneutralswitchandcircuitwiringarefunctioning
correctly;refertoUsingtheInfoCenterDisplayforTroubleshooting(page
7–28).
