Chargethebatteryinawell-ventilatedplacetodissipatethe
gasesproducedfromthecharging.
Thesegasesareexplosive;keepopenameandelectrical
sparkawayfromthebattery.Donotsmoke.
Inhalingthebatterygasescancausenausea.
Unplugthechargerfromtheelectricaloutletbeforeconnecting
ordisconnectingthechargerleadsfromthebatteryposts.
3.Followthebatterychargermanufacturer'sinstructions,connectthecharger
cablestothebatteryposts.Ensurethatyoumakeagoodconnection.
4.Chargethebatteryfollowingthemanufacturer'sinstructions.
5.Occasionallycheckthetemperatureofthebattery-electrolyte.Ifthe
temperatureismorethan52°C(125°F)ortheelectrolyteisviolentlygassing
orspewing,lowerandtemporarilystopthechargingrate.
