Checkthehydrauliclinesandhosesforleaks,kinked
lines,loosemountingsupports,wear,loosettings,
weatherdeterioration,andchemicaldeterioration.
Makeallnecessaryrepairsbeforeoperating.
ReplacingtheHydraulic
Filters
ServiceInterval:Every1,000hours—Ifyou
areusingtherecommended
hydraulicuid,replacethe
return-hydrauliclterand
charge-hydrauliclter.
Every800hours—Ifyouarenotusingthe
recommendedhydraulicuidorhave
everlledthereservoirwithanalternative
uid,replacethereturn-hydrauliclterand
charge-hydrauliclter.
Important:Useofanyotherltersmayvoidthe
warrantyonsomecomponents.
ChangingtheReturnFilter
Thehydraulicsystemisequippedwithareturn
lter-serviceindicator(Figure113).Youview
thelter-serviceindicatorthroughtheholeinthe
oorplate.Withtheenginerunningatoperating
temperature,checkthecoloroftheindicatoras
follows:
•Greenindicatesnormalhydraulic-uidowthrough
thelter.
•Redindicatesarestrictedlter.Changethereturn
lter.
