Maintenance
ChangingtheHydraulicFluid
Changethehydraulicuidafterevery800operatinghours,
innormalconditions.Iftheuidbecomescontaminated,
contactyourlocalTorodistributorbecausethesystemmust
beushed.Contaminateduidlooksmilkyorblackwhen
comparedtocleanoil.
1.Stoptheengineandraisethehood.
2.Placealargedrainpanunderthettingsecuredtothe
bottomofthehydraulic-uidreservoir(Figure68).

3.Disconnectthehosefromthebottomofthettingand
letthehydraulicuidowintothedrainpan.
4.Installthehosewhenhydraulicuidstopsdraining.
5.Fillthereservoirwithapproximately56.7liters(15
USgallons)ofhydraulicuid;refertoCheckingthe
HydraulicFluid(page28).
Important:Useonlythehydraulicuids
specied.Otheruidscouldcausesystem
damage.
6.Installthereservoircap.
7.Starttheengineanduseallofthehydrauliccontrolsto
distributehydraulicuidthroughoutthesystem.Also
checkforleaks.
8.Stoptheengine.
9.Checkthelevelofthehydraulicuidandaddenough
toraiseleveltotheFullmarkonthedipstick.
Important:Donotoverllthereservoir.
ReplacingtheHydraulicFilters
Thehydraulicsystemisequippedwithaserviceinterval
indicator(Figure69).Withtheenginerunningatoperating
temperature,viewtheindicator,itshouldbeinthegreen
zone.Whentheindicatorisintheredzone,changethe
hydrauliclters.

Important:Useofanyotherltersmayvoidthe
warrantyonsomecomponents.
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
cuttingunits,stoptheengine,engagetheparkingbrake,
andremovethekeyfromtheignitionswitch.
2.Cleantheareaaroundtheltermountingareaandplace
adrainpanunderlter(Figure70)and(Figure71).
