1.Loosenthe2screwssecuringtheparkingbrakepawl
totheframe(Figure66).

detentcompletelyengagesonthebrakepawl(Figure

3.Tightenthe2screwslockingtheadjustment.

5.Checktheadjustmentandadjustitasrequired.
BeltMaintenance
Checktheconditionandtensionofthealternatorbeltafter
therstdayofoperationandevery100operatinghours
thereafter.
TensioningtheAlternatorBelt
1.Openthehood.
2.Checkthetensionofthealternatorbeltbypressing
it(Figure67)midwaybetweenthealternatorandthe
crankshaftpulleyswith10kg(22lb)offorce.

3.Loosentheboltsecuringthebracetotheengine
(Figure67),theboltsecuringthealternatortothebrace
andthepivotbolt.
4.Insertaprybarbetweenthealternatorandtheengine
andpryoutonthealternator.
5.Whenyouachievethepropertension,tighten
thealternator,braceandpivotboltstosecurethe
adjustment.
