AdjustingtheThrottle
1.Positionthethrottleleverforwardsothatitis
approximately3mm(1/8inch)fromthefrontof
thecontrol-armslot.
2.Loosenthethrottle-cableconnector,onthe
throttlecable,nexttotheinjection-pumplever
(Figure52).

usedtosetthefrictiondeviceonthethrottle

explosionfromfuelcanburnyouandothers
andcancausepropertydamage.
Fillthefueltankoutdoors,inanopenarea,
whentheengineisoffandiscold.Wipeup
anyfuelthatspills.
Donotllthefueltankcompletelyfull.Add
fueltothefueltankuntilthelevelis25mm
(1inch)belowthetopofthetank,notthe
llerneck.Thisemptyspaceinthetank
allowsthefueltoexpand.
Neversmokewhenhandlingfuel,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwherefuel
fumesmaybeignitedbyaspark.
Storefuelinaclean,safety-approved
containerandkeepthecapinplace.
DrainingtheFuelTank
ServiceInterval:Every800hours—Drainandclean
thefueltank.
Beforestorage
Drainandcleanthefueltankifthefuelsystem
becomescontaminatedorifthemachineistobe
storedforanextendedperiod.Usecleanfueltoush
outthetank.
CheckingtheFuelLines
andConnections
ServiceInterval:Every400hours(Oryearly,
whichevercomesrst).
Checkthefuellinesandconnectionsfordeterioration,
damage,orlooseconnections.
ServicingtheWater
Separator
ServiceInterval:Every400hours—Replacethe
fuel-ltercanister.
1.Placeacleancontainerunderthefuellter.
2.Loosenthedrainplugonthebottomofthelter
